Once his bucket was done, the kids played at the playground that happened to be right there. After that we went to Taco Bell for lunch, then we headed back on base for the 2nd Marine Division Easter Egg Hunt. We got there about an hour before it was actually supposed to start, but everything was already up and running. They had a petting zoo, pony rides, some game (sack races, spoon races, etc), several inflated play areas, face painting, etc. Then there was the egg hunt (though Gabriel says it wasn't actually a hunt...kid's got a point). Here are the kids collecting eggs:
And last but not least, the Easter Bunny:
All in all, a good time was had by everyone. I got to hang out with a couple of my friends, and the kids had a blast. Here's to the closing of yet another day. See you on day 39!!!

That is a bigger bucket than I expected....lol
ReplyDeleteI think the picture might make it look bigger than it is. It's just a regular sized beach bucket, maybe 8 inches high.
