Day 17

I got a phone call today...Ben's still hanging in there.  We talked about a lot of inconsequential things; at this point, it's just really good to hear each other's voices.  He's still not getting a whole lot of sleep, but he's hoping that should start changing as everyone settles into being over there.  I teased him that if things keep going the way they are, he'll come home on R&R and spend the whole time catching up on sleep.

We went to a birthday party today.  A friend of mine's son turned 11, so we went over and helped celebrate.  The kids had a blast.  Today's picture is my munchkins playing in the bouncy house at the party:

Not much else to report here on the homefront.  I've mailed two care packages to Ben in the past week; now we just have to see how long it takes for him to get them.  He said they're only getting mail delivered once a week for the moment, so who knows.

I know today's entry is kind of short, but I'm tired and don't have much to say except...bye til day 18!
