Day 12

Ah, a new month...the first one I have to make it all the way through.  It seems like a bit of a daunting prospect right now, but I know I can do it.  It'll definitely be nice to see that month box in the 'Done' column of my donut of misery turn from a decimal to a whole number.

I went out and did some shopping today.  One problem I always have when Ben's deployed is finding things to send him in care packages.  He has a hard time thinking of anything he wants, but I feel bad not sending him anything at all.  It gets interesting at times.  Fortunately, he did ask me to send him a few things.  I asked Lacy if she wanted to go out running around with me, and we had a great time.  Ben would be very proud of me - I went to Walmart AND Sam's Club, and spent under $100 total...lol.

So, here is Ben's first care package:

I didn't get it totally put together til this evening, so it's sitting on the table waiting to make the journey to the post office tomorrow.  Hopefully I got the things he actually asked for right, and he likes the things he didn't ask for.  Now for the next adventure - seeing how long it takes this package to actually get to Ben.
